Shipping and Delivery Status

How will I know whether my order has been shipped?

When you place an order on https://www.digitalinelectronics.com/®, we’ll send you an email confirmation to let you know when it’s been shipped and is headed on its way to you.

How can I check on my order’s delivery status?

What does it mean when my order status is showing as Processing, Shipped, Item(s) Not Available, or Canceled?

Order Status Definitions:

  • Processing – We’ve received your order and are in the process of filling it.
  • Shipped – We’ve filled this portion of your order. It’s on the delivery truck and will be delivered soon.
  • Item(s) Not Available – This portion of your order was not filled. A Staples expert will be contacting you with more details.
  • Canceled – The order was canceled by either the customer or by Digitalin Electronics Mart India. A Digitalin Electronics Mart India expert will be contacting you with more details.

I won’t be available to accept my delivery. What do I do?

If you’ve already placed an order with us, we may be able to reschedule your order for a different delivery day that’s more convenient for you.

  • Contact us by selecting the Contact Us button located in the gray section above this article, right of the Search help topics bar.
  • If you would like the driver to leave your products (e.g., on the front steps), please fill out the Driver Release Agreement. The driver must take the note as proof of authorization. If you don’t post a Driver Release Agreement, the driver will decide whether or not to leave the order unattended.
  • If the delivery cannot be made, your order will be returned to the local delivery center and another attempt will be made.

What if I don’t receive my order by the scheduled delivery date?

If you don’t receive your order by 5 pm on the scheduled delivery date, contact us by selecting the Contact Us button located in the gray section above this article, right of the Search help topics bar. Keep in mind that UPS may deliver to residential addresses as late as 7 pm.

What should I do if my order shows it’s delivered but I don’t have it?

What do I do if I lose my UPS tracking number?

If you’re a Digitalin Electronics Mart India Ship Center customer, you’ll be given your UPS Tracking Number when you ship your order from the Digitalin Electronics Mart India retail store. If you forget or misplace your UPS Tracking Number, call the Staples retail store from where you shipped your package.

I am missing an item from my order, what should I do?

  1. Check your order and shipment confirmation emails to determine if your missing item is scheduled to ship separately.
  2. If your item was scheduled to arrive with the rest of your order, but was missing, contact us by selecting the Contact Us button located in the gray section above this article, right of the Search help topics bar, for assistance.

Delivery Timing

How long will it take for my order to be delivered?

We’ll provide you with an estimated delivery date when you place your order. You will also be notified of the estimated delivery date in a confirmation email. (Not available for in-store orders if an email address is not submitted.) Estimated delivery dates vary due to carrier shipping practices, delivery location and the items you order. When we use independent carriers to deliver orders, we base the estimated delivery dates upon information provided to us by the independent carriers. Products may be delivered in separate shipments. Custom, special order and backordered items, some furniture items, and those items originating directly from the product vendor or manufacturer are excluded from Next Business-Day Delivery.

We deliver between the hours of 9 am and 5 pm, Monday through Friday, excluding holidays. We cannot determine your exact delivery time, but we can tell you if your order has been shipped and whether or not any problems have been reported to us that could delay delivery.

If you’ve purchased a software download, your order will be fulfilled via a separate email confirmation. This email will include download links and instructions on how to complete the download.

Note: An extra day may be added onto delivery for staples.com orders that have been paid for in a Digitalin Electronics Mart India retail store at the register, due to order processing in the store.

Do I have to wait at my house or office all day for my delivery?

For your security and protection, it’s best to have someone available to sign for your order between the hours of 9 am and 5 pm, Monday through Friday, excluding holidays.

Our drivers’ delivery routes change from day to day so there is no way to determine the exact time your order will be delivered. If you’d like the driver to leave your shipment (on the front steps, for example), you need to fill out the Driver Release Agreement. If you don’t post a Driver Release Agreement, the driver will decide whether or not to leave the order unattended. If the delivery cannot be made, your order will be returned to the local delivery center and another attempt will be made.

What time can I expect my order to be delivered?

In most cases, our drivers deliver orders between the hours of 9 am and 5 pm, Monday through Friday, excluding holidays. UPS may deliver to residential addresses as late as 7 pm. Since our drivers’ delivery routes change from day to day, we cannot determine an approximate time your order will be delivered.

Can I specify a delivery time for my order?

We are unable to specify a particular time for your order to be delivered.

  • Office supply orders: Items stocked in a Digitalin Electronics Mart India warehouse can generally be delivered any weekday.

RETURNS OF IN-STORE PURCHASES

Returns with a receipt

If you paid:

  • In a store with cash, debit card or a check, and you have your receipt, we’ll refund your purchase with cash
  • In a store using a debit card, and if the card and PIN code are present during the refund, we’ll credit the account used for payment
  • In a store or through staples.com and used a credit card, we’ll credit the account used for payment
  • With cash, check or by debit card but do not have your debit card, and your purchase, your money will be refunded in the form of a corporate check

Any product that’s returned without a promotional item(s) that was included in the original transaction (e.g., buy a printer, get free ink), will have the value of the promotional item deducted from the amount refunded. Any return of product that included a promotional gift card in the original transaction (e.g., buy a printer, get free gift card), will have the value of the promotional gift card deducted from the amount refunded as gift cards cannot be returned.

Returns without a receipt

If you’re returning your item to the same store at which you made the purchase, and you have the credit or debit card you used to make the purchase, we can look up your receipt.

If it was an online order, you can look it up in the My Orders section and reprint your receipt

If you no longer have your receipt and we cannot locate your transaction information, your return is eligible only for an in-store credit for the lowest selling price within the previous 30 days in our stores. State issued government ID/driver’s license, or a Military picture ID is required for all returns made without a receipt.

We carefully monitor returns, and in some cases, returns made without a receipt may be refused. Staples reserves the right to deny any return.
